What I Really Taught Me - 857 Words
Obviously the course English 107 did not teach me how to write, I already knew how to write. But I did learn a few important concepts that will help me for future essays. Before taking the course I did not know how to come to terms with any authors while using their concepts, but reading the Harris book really taught me to understand the way to come to terms with them. My essays have really improved over these 10 weeks. As a writer, I really struggled with making my essays be understood. Know I write my essays clearly and readers can come to terms with my essays. I understand that I still need work, but at the end of the day, but I learned so many things that will benefit me in the future. For example, I learned to extend my thesis by identifying the argument and purpose to take it across to the audience. One of my previous papers was a rhetorical paper and my first thesis was completely trashed, ââ¬Å"It is the best because the organizationââ¬â¢s use of ethos, pathos, and logos create an effective call to action for viewers to make more responsible choicesâ⬠, I later then extended it to, ââ¬Å"It is the best because the organizationââ¬â¢s use of ethos, pathos, and logos create an effective call to action for viewers to make more responsible choices.
